Replacing a crumbling old concrete walkway with a Japanese style stone walkway
In order for the entrance to do justice to this very nice house, the old concrete had to go . . .
After demolition and excavation, large shrubs that were blocking the entrance were removed, and several other plants were replaced with more suitable ones. Boulders were also placed as part of a small moss garden feature. Now the work on the "nobedan" style walkway can begin.
Below is the completed nobedan walkway. Note that the moss garden still has a few bald spots. We'll have to bring in more moss.
